I've recently purchased a used 2022 BMW M8 Competition Convertible. Now that I've had the car for a bit I noticed, when purchased new, the original owner did not purchase the Drivers Assistance Professional Package. This package includes the adaptive cruise control, a feature I've grown to enjoy during long drives. Does anyone know if it's possible to add this package after the fact? I've contacted BMW and they say no way, it's too involved and would require disassembling the car to add it in, which is cost prohibited. I'm not sure I fully believe them as my car has the features of automated parking, automated backup, drivers assistance (warnings), lane departure w/ lane correction. Unless I'm missing something? Shouldn't this be as simple as a software update and change to the steering wheel?
